I am so happy that I finally got my hands on Fox and Delilah’s story. Hot Shot is the third in Karina Halle’s North Ridge trilogy behind Wild Card and Maverick. My heart just broke over and over again for Del in this book, her situation with Fox was very relatable and felt very authentic. All the tears and angst are worth it in the end when this hot couple finally gets together. Anyone who likes friends to lovers with some real life twists and turns along they way will really love this one.

This is not your typical romance.. it’s messy and real. Sometimes people don’t get that fairytale coming together romance but that doesn’t make it less perfect! Some love stories take work and that’s exactly how Del and fox relationship is… perfectly imperfect. The author writes incredibly well, she makes things seem very natural. I wish she would have let things simmer a bit in the beginning. There’s tons of back and forth but it seems to fit (maybe only a tad that doesn’t) with the characters. Overall a great read!
